Woven Blinds
Woven blinds are probably the least common type or blinds, after cellular. Woven blinds are normally made out of thicker materials, anything yarn thickness and up. Sometimes they are even woven out of bamboo or reeds with a basket weave. This thicker weave is not always even and tends not to go as well with some things as other blinds would. Woven blinds give a more natural look and are not as clean cut as other blinds are and therefore tend to contrast and draw attention instead of flowing smoothly with the rest of the house or walls.
Typical Woven Blinds
There has been a lot of improvement in the industry and more and more people are realizing that you can do a lot with a weave. Woven blinds today can offer shade or can block out the sun and are made from a variety of different materials and now have a variety of patterns and designs in them and are more controlled today due to machinery. Patters can be put into the blinds and there is less of a natural disorder of hand woven blinds. Most woven blinds are made out of some kind of wood instead of a yarn and are very decorative. Most are evenly patterned and are perfectly even. Something that was harder to do many years ago.
Woven blinds do not have to be as solid as normal blinds. In some cases they can be little more then mesh and can give a light shade to a room.
Patterns
Most patterns either play on checkers or strips. However some go with a pattern that runs either vertically or horizontally up and down a row and then are offset each by a little bit in each row. This gives the blinds a nice even looking pattern but at the same time does not draw attention to any particular spot.
